STATEMENT OF FAITH

What we believe shapes everything we teach, counsel, and publish.

Bible Vaccine Center is an explicitly Christian ministry. Our Statement of Faith is not a formality. It is the theological foundation that determines how we do everything we do.

Why Doctrine Matters

You cannot counter a counterfeit gospel without knowing the real one

High-control groups are not random. They are constructed around specific theological deceptions, reinterpretations of Scripture that remove Christ’s authority, replace it with a new gospel or set of requirements for salvation, and use fear and performance to control members. You cannot help someone escape a counterfeit gospel if you do not have a firm grasp on the real one.

Doctrine is also what separates Bible Vaccine Center from secular cult recovery organizations. Secular approaches address psychological healing. Bible Vaccine Center addresses the spiritual dimension as well — the deep fear that God is a taskmaster, the confusion about whether grace is real, the question of whether leaving the cult means being spiritually cursed. Those questions require theological answers, not only therapeutic ones.

It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery.

                                                                                                      “Galatians 5:1

The theology of freedom is not abstract for Bible Vaccine Center. It is the operational core of how we help people rebuild their lives after leaving a high-control group.

Our Vision

Holy resistance against deceptive teaching.

The Bible Vaccine Center exists in this era of confusion — where false doctrines distort the truth and mislead believers — to protect the Church (the Body of Christ) and its members with the right truth. We are dedicated to helping believers cultivate a “holy resistance” against subtle and deceptive untruths.

This vision is shared by Bible Vaccine Center Korea and Bible Vaccine Center International. It defines why we do research, why we train counselors, why we engage campuses, and why we equip churches. Every arm of Bible Vaccine Center’s work flows from this center: the Church must be able to recognize and resist what is false in order to stand on what is true.

Core Beliefs

Theological anchors that define our ministry

Biblical Authority

Scripture is the final and supreme authority for faith and practice. No living leader, no new revelation, and no reinterpretation by a contemporary teacher stands above or beside the Word of God. High-control groups such as Shincheonji and WMSCOG place a leader’s interpretation of Scripture above the text itself — elevating one person’s authority over the entire Christian tradition. Bible Vaccine Center holds the opposite: the Bible is its own interpreter, and its authority is not mediated by any single person.

The Trinity

Bible Vaccine Center affirms the historic Christian doctrine of the Trinity: one God eternally existing in three persons — Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Each person is fully God. This is not a peripheral doctrine.

The defense of Trinitarian theology is therefore not an abstract confessional exercise. It is central to our apologetics work and to the theological refutation of the groups we address.

The Deity of Christ

Jesus Christ is fully God and fully Man. He is not merely a prophet, not a secondary divine figure, and not a spiritual consciousness inhabiting a contemporary teacher. Bible Vaccine Center holds to the historic Christian confession that Jesus is Lord — the second person of the Trinity, incarnate, crucified, risen, and returning.

Grace, Not Works

Salvation is by grace through faith alone. This is one of Bible Vaccine Center’s most important theological anchors in practical ministry, because high-control groups almost universally operate on a works-based, performance-driven system. Members are controlled through fear of spiritual failure, fear of divine punishment, and the belief that their standing before God depends on ongoing loyalty and obedience to the group. Bible Vaccine Center counters this with the Gospel: you are not saved by performance. You are saved by grace. There is nothing to earn and nothing to lose by leaving a manipulative system.

“And you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”John 8:32

Opposition to Deception as a Ministry Method

Bible Vaccine Center explicitly opposes the use of deception as a method of ministry or evangelism. Shincheonji, WMSCOG, and similar groups use front organizations and concealed identities to recruit members who do not know they are joining a high-control group. Bible Vaccine Center holds that this practice is a direct violation of the Gospel’s call to integrity and transparency. We are who we say we are. Our content is written by identified authors. Our methods are open.

The Church as a Spiritual Immune System

Bible Vaccine Center believes the local church has both the responsibility and the capacity to recognize and resist cult recruitment. A theologically healthy, disciple-equipped congregation is far harder to infiltrate. Part of Bible Vaccine Center’s mission is to help churches become that kind of spiritual immune system — not through fear, but through sound theological grounding and practical awareness.

1. Research and Development

Developing research capabilities that meet domestic and international ministry needs. Publishing books and producing video materials. Bible Vaccine Center Korea’s research forms the foundational source of truth for Bible Vaccine Center International’s content.

2. Strengthening the Foundation of Faith

Helping churches stand on right truth through seminars — including “Bible Vaccine,” “The Right Book of Revelation,” and “Soteriology (Salvation) Vaccine.” These seminars equip congregations before a crisis, not only after one hits.

3. Training Cult Counseling Experts

Training qualified counselors who can support individual churches and help restore those drawn into error. Bible Vaccine Center Korea’s one-year intensive certification program is the model.

4. The Next Generation

Cultivating ministers and leaders for youth and adolescent ministries through “Next Generation Seminars.” Cults specifically target young adults with sincere faith — Bible Vaccine Center invests deliberately in equipping that generation with theological discernment.

5. Bible Academy

Serving local pastors and believers with in-depth Bible study and education based on sound theology. Doctrinal depth is both a defensive and an offensive tool in the work of cult prevention and recovery.

Doctrine in Practice

How doctrine shapes our counseling and content.

Bible Vaccine Center’s theological convictions are not separate from our practical work.

In counseling, the doctrine of grace determines how we approach survivors who believe they are cursed for leaving their group. The Trinitarian defense shapes how we help families understand what their loved one has actually been taught. The doctrine of biblical authority determines how we evaluate and refute cult theology — by returning to the text itself, not by appealing to tradition alone.

In content, any page that defines a group’s doctrine or presents a Christian theological response must undergo doctrinal review before publication. Complex apologetic nuances are worked through collaboratively between Chris and John. The final theological authority for Bible Vaccine Center US content traces back to Pastor Yang’s research at Bible Vaccine Center Korea.

Doctrine is not optional for this ministry. It is the medicine in the vaccine.
